There are various mechanisms and entry points to the MLPCN program for Assay Providers. Prior to grant submission, an Assay Provider may submit a request for technical assistance through the NIH MLPCN website. The SRSBSC will provide any additional assistance by phone, email, or in-person consultation to Assay Providers committed to writing a grant application.
Funding sources for the MLPCN are as follows:
- RO3 grant application for support of HTS-ready assays. The RO3 provides $25K/year for two years.
- R21 grant application to support the development of assays for HTS. The R21 grant provides $100K for year 1 and $25K for year 2.
- "Fast-tracking" application may occur by submitting a request using a pre-existing XO1 or RO1 grant for an HTS-ready assay that meet these guidelines.
